William Burke

William Burke

William is a New Jersey native and now resides in Boiling Springs, NC. He joined the GSCT board during the 2014-2015 season as student representative after stage managing Mid-Life! The Crisis Musical, performed in The Millenium Playhouse on the campus of Gardner-Webb University. At the end of the 2014-2015 season, William was elected to join the board as a member to complete the two remaining years of a former board member's term. He studied American Sign Language and Technical Theatre at Gardner-Webb and is now an adjunct instructor and tutor at Cleveland Community College and a freelance sign language interpreter. 

William is the chair of the Production Committee for the 2015-2016 season, and also serves on the Communications Committee. The Production Committee oversees all aspects of producing a show, including: set, lighting, sound, costuming, and backstage volunteers. William also acts as accessibility cooridinator for GSCT.
