Dan Treharne

Dan Treharne has been involved in area theatre since 1994. Since he moved back to the area, he has served as an actor, director and board member for both Kings Mountain Little Theatre (KMLT) and Greater Shelby Community Theatre (GSCT). Some of his most memorable roles include Paul, the Waiter in Cocktails with Mimi (KMLT), Dr. Sanderson in Harvey (KMLT), Juror #2 in 12 Angry Men (GSCT), and Reverend Hale in The Crucible (GSCT). His community theatre directing credits include Play On (KMLT), Fools (GSCT), last summer’s Leading Ladies (GSCT), and GSCT’s last production, An Enemy of the People. Director of the Kings Mountain High School Theatre Department since 2003, Dan has won several Excellence in Directing awards. The KMHS Theatre Department won the State High School Play Festival in 2012, and it recently won the Wells Fargo Best Musical Tier 1 at the 2015 Blumey Awards. Dan is also currently serving on the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Theatre Conference.
