We start our trip at the Arts Council, 29 July, with Stage Fighting with Hamlet! This free, interactive workshop focuses on introducing participants to the basics of stage combat. Experienced actor and director Dan Treharne will lead us through the basics of unarmed stage violence. You will learn how to effectively and safely perform several moves, including shoulder pushes, chest shoves, falls, and a variety of punches.

Next stop, 1 August, at the Neal Senior Center for Midsummer Night in the Daylight! Join us for a reading of romance. We will hear the tale of four youth on the trail of true love, with a mischievous Spirit as their guide.

The final waypost on our journey will be at the Foothills Farmers’ Market, 5 August. Tomato Love Letters with Romeo and Juliet! Bring your youngest thespians to meet Romeo and Juliet for an adventure in… tomatoes! GSCT will be manning POP club, for ages 2-12. Come taste tomatoes, do a fun craft, and meet some of our actors!

Our final destination is the Mill (the Millennium Playhouse, that is) to see our production of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged), directed by the phenomenal Becky Reger! All 37 plays in 97 minutes! Three madcap men in tights weave their wicked way through all of Shakespeare’s comedies, histories, and tragedies in one wild ride that will leave you breathless and helpless with laughter. An irreverent, fast-paced romp through the Bard’s plays, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) was London’s longest-running comedy.
